UStore Self Storage FAQ's

Are the self storage containers at UStore Sandhurst dry?

Yes. All our containers are modern, and are well sealed against the weather. In fact, if anything, be careful when putting wet or damp items into the container. They are so well sealed the moisture is likely to be retained in the unit.

Should I hire a first floor or ground floor storage unit?

First floor storage units are usually cheaper to rent because loading or unloading and access is via a flight of stairs or movable platform. If items are not especially large or heavy, a first floor unit might be better value. Large, heavy items suit a ground floor storage unit.

Why hire a storage unit?

Having enough space is important when living a comfortable life. Whether you are moving somewhere or just need a little more space in the home you have to find that extra room somewhere.

The same rule applies to UK business as well who might need extra space for stock, files or extra equipment and to free up space in their high priced commercial offices.

Students who head out of town for summer need to keep their possessions safe. Members of the armed forces will always need a home for their prized possessions as they move around the country or around the world

No matter who you are or what you need the extra space for, our experienced and courteous staff will be there when you need their help. Our prices will keep your pocket as safe as your belongings.

Once you have a UStore unit, you can finally get that complete peace of mind and, most importantly... the room to move!

What Storage Solutions do you have?

Every kind of storage solution you can think of all under one roof here at UStore.

- Domestic Storage For Household Moves

- Student Storage For That Time Away From Home

- Business Storage As Big Or As Small As You Like

- Storage for Moving Home

- Clearing Out Clutter

Many people really just don't know how much stuff the actually have until they decide to move. When they start clearing out the garage, lofts, sheds and cupboards they suddenly start to see this mountain starting to pile up.

Our dry, clean and very secure storage containers are the perfect place to keep all your personal items in a good condition while you think about what you want to do with them.

If you simply need extra living space at home, self storage is the ideal solution to pack away those things which you don't use that often but which you still want the opportunity to access 24 hours a day. Garden furniture, summer sports equipment, boxes of winters clothes.....(or clothes that might fit you one day), or anything else.

As much or as little as you like

At UStore we are as flexible as you want us to be. Upgrading or downsizing takes only a phone call so whether you are wanting short term storage or a more long term solution you will only pay for the space you need while you need it.

Do you have storage solutions for students?

Are you a student? Have you collected too much stuff while you were living away?

If you are a student you will be amazed at the amount of stuff that seems to get collected while you are living away from home. U-Store can offer you:

Storage facilities for both the long and short term

Clean, Dry and Secure (your parents can't pry)

Cheap storage solutions with easy, 24/7 access

When you are changing college, going away for the summer or going home at the end of term, you will need safe but secure storage while you are away. This is where a student, self-storage option at U-Store comes in handy. You can trust us to look after all your prized possessions.

Because you are a student, you are probably sharing a house or in residence and because the budget is always tight (need to keep some party money as well), you need storage prices that won't bankrupt you.

As a rule of thumb, college or university students need between 30 and 50 square feet of storage which is about 50 small moving boxes. It you don't believe you need that much then just start packing and you will soon see for yourself.

Our friendly staff will help you figure out exactly how much cheap storage you actually require so that you don't end up paying for storage that you don't need. If you have any unusual or fragile items then they can advise you on the best way to package and store them so that they don't get damaged.

To help you even further we will include the insurance and even collect for you (provided you are in our area of course). If you are out of our area then take a look at our Recommended Links pages to find out more about van hire, packaging materials etc

Remember that you don't have to stick with the same size storage unit the entire time. Downgrade to a smaller unit when you go back to college so that you only pay for the holiday gear, extra furniture and the wacky clothes you bought during the holidays

Most importantly remember that, just because our prices are cheaper, it does not mean that your valuable are less secure. We have 24 hour CCTV and only you have a key to your door.
