  • Are the self storage containers at UStore Sandhurst dry?
    Yes. All our containers are modern, and are well sealed against the weather. In fact, if anything, be careful when putting wet or damp items into the container. They are so well sealed the moisture is likely to be retained in the unit.
  • Should I hire a first floor or ground floor storage unit?
    First floor storage units are usually cheaper to rent because loading or unloading and access is via a flight of stairs or movable platform. If items are not especially large or heavy, a first floor unit might be better value. Large, heavy items suit a ground floor storage unit.
  • Do your self storage prices include VAT?
  • Is there an additional charge for the storage unit padlock?
    No. High quality, individual padlocks are included in the price of your storage unit hire.
  • What if I need to hire a storage unit for longer than I originally planned?
    Once hired, you don’t have to request a longer term. When you pass the date, we will invoice you for the next term and you can continue for as long as you need to.
  • What payment methods do you accept for storage units?
    You can pay for your storage units first term by credit or debit card. Thereafter you pay by direct debit - Payment is due monthly in advance.
  • Do I need to make payment in advance?
    Yes. All hire charges are payable in advance.
  • Is there a fee to access my storage unit?
    You can come and go as often as please - there is no fee.
  • Is there a storage unit admin fee?
    No - there is no fee for storage unit admin.
  • What can I store in a storage container?
    More or less anything that will fit and isn't live, dangerous, toxic or explosive.
  • What am I not allowed to store in a storage container?
    Tyres, fireworks, plants, waste, animals, illegal goods, food or perishables, flammable or hazardous goods, firearms or explosives, any item that smells or gives off fumes. If unsure, please ask.
  • What sort of things do people store in storage containers?

  • What should I bring when I sign up for a storage unit?
    2 forms of ID with your name and address, one of which should be a photo ID (eg driving licence or passport) Payment by in by credit or debit card – for your hire charge and deposit – payment is in advance
  • What if I’m not sure how long I will need a storage unit?
    No problem - our minimum term is one month so you're never obliged to stay much longer than you need to. Sometimes we are able to offer discounts if you contract for longer periods.
  • Will my goods be safe in storage?
    We have electronic gates, 24 hours CCTV, and you have a high security padlock..
  • Can you help arrange removals?
    Yes - although we do not operate our own removals service, we can recommend local independent and professional removal contractors.
  • What happens if I need a different size storage unit as time goes on?
    No problem - just let us know. Subject to availability - you can increase or decrease the size of unit you occupy as your storage needs change.
  • Are there any hidden charges for self storage?

  • How long can I store my goods in a storage unit?
    As long as you like, although we normally ask for a minimum of one month storage container unit hire.
  • How much self storage space do I need?
    You certainly don't want to pay for storage that you don't need so this should give you an indication. Remember that you can upgrade or downgrade at any time so if you see that you have miscalculated then we will be able to fix it for you.
